About SEEDS Trust
Social Education and Environmental Development Scheme (SEEDS) Trust has been undertaking various development activities in the state of Tamil Nadu , India since 1997. The focus areas of SEEDS Trust are as follows: Conservation of land, water, forest and wildlife, Biodiversity Conservation, Forestry & Agro Forestry Development, Community development and empowerment of Children, Youth and Women, Coastal ecosystem, Environmental protection, Sustainable Agriculture & Organic Farming, Food security and Tribal development. In all the aforesaid focus areas SEEDS Trust has been implementing various projects in different parts of Tamil Nadu State , India . These development activities are implemented with the support of State , National and International agencies. W e are concentrating to work on the fight against Global warming & Climate change, Conservation of endangered species, Water Rights, Land Alienation & Non Conventional Energy.
Enable needy communities to become self- reliance through integrated holistic approach and conserve the nature judiciously for the benefit of present and future generations .
The Trust has a mission of elevation of depressed society using an integrated, holistic approach that addresses the physical, educational, environmental and economic welfare of the community, working through children, women, tribal and farmers' enlistment. It aims to facilitate the self-sufficiency of families and whole communities; ultimately the organization visualizes global transformation through local change. The organizations work will contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of UN in the target area.
Aims & Objectives

Undertake Forestry, Agro Forestry and indigenous communities development activities
Facilitate the farmers on Sustainable Agriculture & Organic Farming practices
Transfer innovative technologies & practices to farming and rural communities
Propagate practices to stop Global Warming and Climate change
Identify ways to protect endangered species
Establish nursery, produce saplings and plant trees
Create awareness on development issues which could lead into action programmes
Social Education and Environmental Development Scheme (SEEDS) Trust is established in the year of 1997, under Indian Charitable Trust Act 1882. Registration No.1/97 dated 10th January 1997. in Kannivadi, Dindigul, Tamilnadu India.
SEEDS Trust is a non-governmental, non-profit making, non-sectarian, voluntary social service organization.
The organization is exempted under Income Tax Act 1961 u/s 80G and 12A of Income Tax Act .
SEEDS Trust is also registered with the Ministry Home Affairs, Government of India under Foreign Contributions Regulations Act, (FCRA) for receipt of foreign contributions.
